We’re excited to announce the return of the Barrie Thunder Classics Poker Run in partnership with the Das Kruisers Volkswagen Club of Barrie!
Entry fee of $10.00 per vehicle payable at event

On July 19th we hope you can attend our event that will see us gather at Roberta Place Retirement Lodge on Essa Road at 9 am here in Barrie. You’ll be given one playing card to start the event at Roberta Place. Between 9:30-10:00 we’ll leave Roberta Place and make our way around Barrie to multiple retirement homes where we will be greeted by the residents hosting their own themes. You will be given a card and an opportunity to talk and have photos taken of your classic with the hosts. The more host residences you visit the better chance of a great poker hand! We will then meet back at Roberta Place Retirement Lodge by 11:30-12:00
where we will have an award ceremony and BBQ!

This is a great opportunity to get out and drive and put smiles on the residents faces as well as yours. The proceeds also go to great charitable organizations like Seasons Centre for Grieving Children and
Furry Friends Animal Shelter.
We’re also accepting non-perishable food items for the Barrie Food Bank.
We had a small showing last year but it definitely laid the ground work for this year’s return - we’re hoping to double the event and grow it every year!
